At LiveWell, we believe in fostering vibrant, healthy communities by addressing the unique health challenges faced by Black women. Our LiveWell Health and Wellness Program is dedicated to improving health outcomes for Black women through comprehensive, culturally-sensitive, and accessible initiatives.
Why the Program?
Black women face unique health disparities and challenges, which can affect their overall well-being and quality of life. Recognizing this, our program aims to provide targeted support, education, and resources to empower Black women to take control of their health. By addressing the root causes of these disparities, the LiveWell Program seeks to create a foundation for healthier lives and stronger communities.
What We Offer:
– Classes and Workshops: Our engaging and informative sessions cover a wide range of topics tailored to the needs of Black women. These classes provide knowledge and skills for maintaining and improving health.
– Clarksville Health and Wellness Expo: Our annual expo brings together health professionals, wellness experts, and community members for a day of learning, sharing, and community. Attendees can explore booths, attend classes, and connect with resources.
– Awareness Campaigns: Through targeted campaigns, we raise awareness about critical health issues affecting Black women.
– Advocacy Workshops: Empowerment is key to effecting change. Our workshops provide Black women with the tools and knowledge to advocate for their health needs, whether within the healthcare system or through policy change.
– Access to Resources: We provide access to a variety of resources, including health screenings, consultations with healthcare professionals, and information on local health services, making it easier for Black women to get the care and support they need.
– Community and Engagement: At the heart of our program is a strong sense of community. Through group activities, forums, and social events, we foster a community where Black women can share experiences, support one another, and build lasting relationships.
