Resiliency Workshop

March 23 @ 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm

Build your resilience to bounce back stronger from life’s challenges.

The capacity to adjust successfully and bounce back swiftly after hardship, stress, trauma, or tragedy is known as resilience. When facing life’s obstacles, having a resilient disposition makes it easier for you to remain composed and retain a good degree of physical and mental wellness. Less resilient people are more prone to dwell on issues and adopt unhealthy coping mechanisms to deal with stress. Research shows that resilience can be shaped by how we interpret the adversities we face (Yeager & Dweck, 2012), which means that if you find yourself feeling less resilient, no worries because but can be improved, developed, and nurtured through resiliency training.

This training will help you learn to focus your attention on the more positive aspects of your life, to help you can cultivate resilience. We will focus on the deliberate, practiced attention to clear your mind of unfavorable ideas and concentrate more on the most significant part of an encounter. We will also go over creating healthily coping mechanisms, boundary setting and ways to increase mindfulness of self and others. The goal of this training is for you to see unavoidable challenges as opportunities, increase your resilience, improve your quality of life, and reduce your stress and anxiety.
